The Soft Skin
DramaRomance119 min
A married Paris publisher and lecturer begins a secret affair with an airline stewardess, trying to keep conferences, flights, and family life neatly separated as the relationship deepens. Jean Desailly is Pierre Lachenay, a public intellectual whose routine starts to bend around chance meetings and concealed trips. Françoise Dorléac's Nicole enters his life in transit, then becomes harder to leave behind. At home, Franca (Nelly Benedetti) and their daughter remain just outside the world Pierre thinks he can manage. François Truffaut follows him through Paris apartments, airport corridors, and a trip to Reims, where small decisions start to carry larger consequences.
