Godzilla

DramaHorrorSci-FiThriller96 min

After several ships are sunk near Odo Island, an expedition discovers a colossal creature the locals call Gojira, throwing Japan into panic as the monster moves toward the mainland. Takashi Shimura is Dr. Kyohei Yamane, the scientist pulled into the first investigation, while Akira Takarada appears among the civilians and officials trying to understand what has risen from the sea. Ishirô Honda’s 1954 film frames the crisis through emergency meetings, crowded hospitals, and the mounting fear around a giant monster linked to nuclear testing, grounding its destruction in the shock felt by an entire country.
