The Cross of Lorraine

DramaWar90 min

After France falls, a group of captured French soldiers are herded into a Nazi prison camp, where men from different walks of life begin weighing escape, sabotage, and revolt. Gene Kelly is Victor Labiche, a former cab driver whose defiance brings harsh punishment, while Jean-Pierre Aumont is among the prisoners refusing to let captivity settle into submission. From barracks and barbed wire to the first steps toward organized resistance, the film follows POWs as the camp becomes a battleground of discipline, endurance, and uprising.
