American Perfekt
CrimeDramaThriller100 min
Jake Nyman is a criminal psychiatrist on a self-imposed vacation from responsibility, heading out on the road with one rule: every decision gets settled by a coin toss. When Sandra Thomas is run off the highway by a stranger, Jake offers her a ride, and Amanda Plummer’s disenchanted traveler is drawn to his drifting, amoral logic. Robert Forster gives Jake a calm, unreadable center as the two move from roadside chance encounter to a string of impulsive choices, mixing flashes of kindness with brushes with crime. What begins as an accidental meeting turns into a romance and a disappearance shaped, at least on the surface, by luck.
