CrimeDramaMysteryThriller100 min
Private detective Harry Moseby (Gene Hackman), a former pro football player working out of Los Angeles, takes what looks like a routine missing-person case: a former Hollywood actress wants her runaway daughter found and brought home. The search leads Harry to the Florida Keys, where the girl, a world of stuntmen, and a suspicious mechanic start to overlap with an unsolved murder. As the case opens up, Harry’s work and his personal life keep colliding, and a young Melanie Griffith figures into the mystery he’s trying to piece together.
