Prosecutor Julio Strassera is charged with building the case against the former leaders of Argentina’s military dictatorship, assembling a young legal team as the 1985 trial approaches. Ricardo Darín is Strassera, working alongside Peter Lanzani’s Luis Moreno Ocampo as they investigate the junta’s record of torture, murder, and forced disappearances. Rooted in a true story, the film follows the prosecution side of a landmark case, from cramped offices and witness interviews to the pressure of bringing powerful men into court in a country still living with the dictatorship’s aftermath.
