After Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crashes onto a glacier in the Andes in 1972, the surviving passengers — a rugby team, along with friends and family — are stranded at high altitude with little food and no clear way out. Enzo Vogrincic and Agustín Pardella are among the young ensemble as the group tries to organize, wait for rescue, and keep each other alive through injury, hunger, and brutal cold. Drawn from the true story of the Andes flight disaster, the film follows the ordeal day by day, including the prayers, arguments, and extreme measures that emerge as hope and time start to run thin.
