The Money Pit
ComedyRomance91 min
After they’re forced out of their Manhattan apartment, Walter and Anna buy a sprawling Long Island house that looks like a steal and quickly reveals itself as a disaster. Tom Hanks is Walter, convinced the fixer-upper can be saved, while Shelley Long’s Anna watches the repairs spiral from minor headaches into constant, expensive breakdowns. Staircases collapse, plumbing erupts, walls crack, and every attempt to make the place livable seems to uncover a bigger problem. As the mansion keeps coming apart room by room, the strain on the house starts wearing down the couple too.
