Six strangers arrive at a remote mansion for dinner and learn they’ve all been blackmailed by their host, Mr. Boddy. When Boddy turns up dead, the guests are thrown into a frantic murder investigation with the killer still in the house and more bodies soon complicating the night. Tim Curry is Wadsworth, the fast-talking butler trying to keep the chaos under control, while Madeline Kahn’s Mrs. White and Eileen Brennan’s Mrs. Peacock are among the increasingly suspicious dinner guests. Candlesticks, secret passageways, missed alibis, and one very crowded mansion keep the mystery moving from room to room.
