After ETA kills her husband in 2000, Maixabel Lasa spends years living with the aftermath of political violence and personal loss. Eleven years later, she receives an extraordinary request: one of the imprisoned men responsible, now separated from the group, wants to meet her face to face in a prison in Araba. Blanca Portillo is Maixabel, weighing whether to confront the people who ended the life of the man she had known since adolescence, while Luis Tosar is one of the former ETA members asking to be heard. The story stays close to those encounters, and to the uneasy questions of grief, responsibility, and forgiveness they bring with them.
