La civil
CrimeDramaThriller145 min
Arcelia Ramirez is Cielo, a mother in northern Mexico whose teenage daughter is kidnapped by a criminal gang. When the authorities offer no help, Cielo starts searching on her own, chasing leads through police offices, army checkpoints, and a region marked by disappearances. Her investigation brings her to Lamarque, an army lieutenant willing to work with her as long as her information serves his operations too. Inspired by true events, the film keeps its focus on Cielo as grief, rage, and official indifference drive her from ordinary domestic life into a far more dangerous role.
