Vortex
Drama142 min
An elderly couple’s home life narrows and fractures as Lui, a struggling author with a heart condition, tries to care for his wife, a retired psychiatrist slipping into dementia. Dario Argento is the husband, still working amid pill bottles and scattered papers; Françoise Lebrun’s wife drifts through familiar rooms that are becoming harder to recognize. As their routines break down, the film stays close to the ordinary details of meals, medication, and family strain, with a faded visual palette and muffled, low-frequency sound shaping the household around them.
