Invasion of the Body Snatchers

HorrorSci-Fi116 min

In 1970s San Francisco, a Department of Health inspector and his colleague begin hearing the same unnerving complaint: people don’t seem like themselves anymore. Donald Sutherland is the city worker tracing those reports from one apartment, office, and street corner to the next, as Brooke Adams’s fellow health employee starts to suspect something larger is spreading through the city. Their search draws in a frantic couple, played by Jeff Goldblum and Veronica Cartwright, and a psychiatrist (Leonard Nimoy) who dismisses the panic as a social contagion. What looks at first like paranoia hardens into an alien takeover built from perfect human doubles.
