Dawn of the Dead
HorrorSci-FiThriller127 min
As the dead rise and cities tip toward martial law, two Philadelphia SWAT officers, a traffic reporter, and his television-executive girlfriend escape by helicopter and hole up in a suburban shopping mall. Ken Foree is one of the officers, with Gaylen Ross among the small group trying to turn stocked shelves and locked gates into a refuge. George A. Romero widens the zombie outbreak from street panic and TV-studio confusion to a sealed-off consumer palace where routine, excess, and violence start to blur. Armed raids, biker chaos, and graphic gore keep pressing in on the survivors’ uneasy shelter.
