The Fly

DramaHorrorSci-Fi96 min

Jeff Goldblum is Seth Brundle, a brilliant scientist whose breakthrough in teleportation turns catastrophic when he tests the machine on himself and a housefly slips into the chamber. What begins as a private experiment becomes a nightmare as Brundle’s body changes in increasingly disturbing ways. Geena Davis and John Getz are part of the small circle around him as the consequences come into view. Directed by David Cronenberg, the film keeps its science-fiction premise close and physical, centered on lab equipment, isolation, and the grotesque details of Brundle’s transformation.
