Cinderella Liberty
ComedyDramaRomance117 min
When a Navy paperwork mix-up strands a lonely sailor on extended liberty in Seattle, he drifts into a relationship with a prostitute and her young son. James Caan is the serviceman, cut off from shipboard routine and pulled into a makeshift family he didn’t expect; Marsha Mason gives the woman at its center a frank, unsentimental presence. As the boy begins to look to him as a father figure, shore leave becomes less about waiting for orders and more about the fragile home taking shape around him.
