Martin, a Copenhagen law student, takes a night job at a forensic medicine institute to pay for school, only to find himself working alone in the mortuary as a series of murders unsettles the city. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is Martin, whose overnight rounds bring him into the rooms where the dead are kept and into a trail of unexplained disturbances. As the killings continue and suspicion starts to close in on him, the search for what the institute is hiding turns urgent. Sofie Gråbøl and Kim Bodnia are part of the tense circle around Martin as his shift grows harder to separate from the case.
