In Depression-era Georgia, Matt Damon is Rannulph Junuh, a once-gifted golfer whose war trauma and alcoholism have left his swing behind. When a tournament could help save a struggling golf course tied to a woman from his past, he’s drawn back into the game he can no longer trust. Help arrives in the form of Will Smith’s Bagger Vance, a calm, enigmatic caddy who steps onto the course with advice that sounds part golf lesson, part spiritual guidance. Charlize Theron is the former sweetheart trying to keep the course alive as the town rallies around the event.
