The Greatest Game Ever Played

Drama120 min

In 1913 Massachusetts, young amateur golfer Francis Ouimet comes from a working-class family and grows up outside the gates of a country club where the game belongs to the rich. When he earns a spot in the U.S. Open, he is thrown against the era’s most famous players, including British champion Harry Vardon, and into a world that does not expect him to compete. As pressure builds from his family, class barriers, and the scale of the tournament itself, Ouimet has to trust his game under the attention of a skeptical crowd. Shia LaBeouf stars in the story of the unlikely run that turns a local outsider into a national contender.
