Remember the Titans

Drama113 min

In 1971 Alexandria, Virginia, newly integrated T.C. Williams High School hands its football program to Herman Boone, a tough new head coach whose arrival displaces the town’s longtime favorite, Bill Yoast. Denzel Washington is Boone, facing resistance from players, parents, and staff, while Will Patton’s Yoast is asked to stay on as an assistant under the man who replaced him. As summer camp begins, the team’s Black and white players bring the town’s racial tension onto the field. Wood Harris and Ryan Hurst are at the center of that divide as standout teammates Julius Campbell and Gerry Bertier.
