The Flower of My Secret

ComedyDramaRomance107 min

Marisa Paredes is Leo, a middle-aged romance author who writes under a pseudonym and has grown to despise her own work. At home, her husband is far away, working overseas and drifting further from her emotionally as well. As Leo begins to reevaluate both her marriage and the stories she puts on the page, she crosses paths with Juan Echanove’s Ángel, a newspaper editor whose attention opens up an unexpected connection. Directed by Pedro Almodóvar, the film follows Leo through a professional and personal crisis, where the love she writes bears little resemblance to the life she’s actually living.
