2 Days in the Valley
ComedyCrimeThriller104 min
A professional athlete’s murder at the hands of two hit men sends a dozen lives in the San Fernando Valley crashing into one another over the next two days. The fallout reaches a mistress, a nurse, a wealthy art dealer and his lovelorn assistant, a suicidal writer and his dog, and a bitter detective working with his partner. James Spader and Danny Aiello are part of the sprawling ensemble, with Teri Hatcher and Charlize Theron moving through a web of hostages, grudges, and criminal misfires. The film keeps its eyes on ordinary Valley routines as they get pulled into a messy chain of violence and coincidence.
