Road to Perdition
CrimeDramaThriller117 min
In 1931 Illinois, mob enforcer Mike Sullivan is forced to flee with his eldest son after the boy witnesses a killing that turns the Rooney crime family against them. Tom Hanks is Sullivan, a hitman who has long looked to crime boss John Rooney (Paul Newman) as a father figure; Daniel Craig’s Connor sees that bond as a threat. As father and son move through the Depression-era Midwest, the film tracks a revenge pursuit alongside a boy’s growing understanding of what his father does for a living, in a world of bank jobs, hotel hideouts, and organized-crime loyalties.
