Gridiron Gang
CrimeDrama125 min
At a juvenile detention center, probation officer Sean Porter is tired of watching the teens in his care cycle back into prison or violence once they leave. Dwayne Johnson is Porter, who turns to football as a way to build discipline, self-respect, and trust among a group of boys who barely function as a team. With co-worker Malcolm Moore at his side, Xzibit gives the staff’s push-and-pull a blunt counterweight as they scramble to form the Kilpatrick Mustangs. Based on a true story, the film follows the early weeks of practices and games as the players test one another, their coaches, and the limits of a second chance.
