Eri Fukatsu’s single-mother housekeeper takes a job in the home of a mathematics professor living with brain damage. Akira Terao is the professor, a reserved man whose life is shaped by numbers even as everyday conversation and routine can slip out of reach. As she returns to his house day after day, the distance between employer and housekeeper begins to narrow, and mathematics becomes a shared language between them. Takanari Saito appears as her young son, who is gradually folded into the quiet household forming around the professor.
