Three years after her last encounter with Kitano Yuichiro, divorcee Sasamoto Sawa has settled into a quiet life in a new town when he arrives there to give a lecture. Aya Ueto is Sawa, trying to keep distance from a past she has carefully contained, while Takumi Saitô's Yuichiro brings old feelings back to the surface. As the two meet again, their relationship resumes under the shadow of secrecy, betrayal, and the consequences that followed their earlier affair. Hiroshi Nishitani's film picks up their story at the point where calm routines and unresolved love begin to collide.
