Noboru, an overlooked high school student, agrees to fake a romance with Momose after the school’s most admired senior is caught juggling her and another girlfriend. Osamu Mukai’s Miyazaki wants to protect his relationship with wealthy, popular Tetsuko, so he asks Noboru and Momose to pose as a couple in front of everyone. Akari Hayami is Momose, bright and open where Tetsuko is polished and privileged, and the arrangement quickly turns a one-sided crush into a messier triangle. In a Japanese high school where status matters, Noboru finds himself caught between loyalty to Miyazaki and his growing attachment to the girl beside him.
