DramaThrillerWar123 min

In 1980, American journalist Richard Boyle heads into El Salvador as the country’s civil war intensifies, chasing a story while trying to get his girlfriend and her children out safely. James Woods is Boyle, moving through checkpoints, press rooms, guerrilla territory, and the orbit of a right-wing military dictatorship as the violence closes in. Oliver Stone’s film follows Boyle as he becomes entangled with both leftist rebels and government forces, with Jim Belushi among the Americans pulled into the chaos around him.
