Freeway
ComedyCrimeDramaThriller105 min
After her mother’s arrest leaves her stranded, teenage runaway Vanessa Lutz heads across California in search of the grandmother she barely knows. Reese Witherspoon is Vanessa, a defiant kid who accepts a ride from school counselor Bob Wolverton, only to realize he’s the notorious I-5 Killer. Kiefer Sutherland’s Bob keeps coming even after Vanessa escapes, turning her trip into a violent chase up and down the freeway. Framed as a dark, modern riff on Little Red Riding Hood, the film throws Vanessa through police stations, courtrooms, and seedy roadside stops as the pursuit tightens.
