On Body and Soul
DocumentaryDramaFantasyMysteryRomance116 min
Two introverted co-workers at a Budapest slaughterhouse discover by chance that they share the same dream every night, a coincidence that leaves them unsettled as much as intrigued. Géza Morcsányi is Endre, the company’s finance chief; Alexandra Borbély’s Mária is the newly appointed meat quality inspector, precise and socially awkward in her daily routines. As the two cautiously accept that this private dream world belongs to both of them, they begin trying to find, in daylight and in each other’s company, some version of the connection they can’t explain.
