Cold War

DramaRomanceWar89 min

In post-war Poland, a musical director and a young singer begin an affair that keeps pulling them back together as the Cold War carries them from the late 1940s into the 1960s. Tomasz Kot is the musician, drawn to a woman whose background and temperament clash with his own, while Joanna Kulig's singer moves through the relationship with equal parts desire and resistance. As the story shifts through Poland, Berlin, and Paris, music and politics keep pressing on their lives, and the black-and-white cinematography frames each reunion against a divided Europe.
