In late-1970s Barcelona, Eduard Fernández is Manolo Vital, a bus driver in Torre Baró who decides to answer years of neglect with an act of civil disobedience: hijacking his own route to force the city to pay attention. Based on a true story, the film follows how one protest from an immigrant neighborhood grows into a wider clash over public services, dignity, and who gets included in Barcelona’s modern makeover. Clara Segura and Zoe Bonafonte are part of the community around Manolo as a local grievance becomes a public reckoning.
