William Hurt is the scientist at the center of the experiments, while Blair Brown circles the growing fallout as his work moves from controlled procedure to something harder to explain. What begins as a study of memory and perception starts bending time, reality, and even his own body, turning lab work into a collision of psychology, ritual, and metamorphosis. Ken Russell frames it with stark scientific detail, psychedelic imagery, and flashes of body horror.
