The Truth About Cats & Dogs

ComedyRomance97 min

Abby (Janeane Garofalo), a veterinarian who hosts a call-in radio show, is quick with advice and shaky about her own looks. When a charming photographer wants to meet the woman behind the voice, she asks her glamorous friend Noelle to stand in for her; Uma Thurman’s Noelle agrees, and Ben Chaplin’s Brian ends up caught between the person he heard on the phone and the one he meets in person. Built around a modern Cyrano de Bergerac mix-up, the film keeps its focus on mistaken identity, friendship, and the uneasy gap between confidence on the air and self-doubt off it.
