Tom Hardy’s Tommy Riordan, the younger son of a recovering alcoholic former boxer, returns home to train with the father he left behind and enter a major mixed martial arts tournament. Across town, Joel Edgerton is Brendan, his estranged older brother — a former fighter now teaching school and struggling to support his family — who steps back into the cage for money. Nick Nolte’s father sits uneasily between them, trying to rebuild trust while preparing Tommy for the fight ahead. What begins as tournament prep quickly points both brothers toward the same bracket, with years of resentment and unfinished family business following them into the ring.
