The Fighter
ActionAdventureDrama116 min
In Lowell, Massachusetts, boxer Micky Ward is stuck in bruising bouts and a family operation that keeps pulling him off course. Mark Wahlberg is Micky, a working-class fighter managed by his hard-driving mother and trained by half-brother Dicky, once a local legend and now sinking into drugs and petty crime. Christian Bale's Dicky hangs over every decision as Micky tries to step out of his brother's shadow and rebuild his career on his own terms. Amy Adams and Melissa Leo round out the tense family circle in this true-story drama from David O. Russell.
