'Weird Al' Yankovic is the eccentric new manager of a nearly bankrupt UHF station, handed the job just as the channel is running out of money and ideas. His answer is to throw out the usual playbook and fill the schedule with an odd assortment of bargain-basement shows, broad TV spoofs, and increasingly chaotic local programming. As the station starts drawing attention, every broadcast feels one step away from falling apart on live television. Michael Richards adds another blast of absurdity around the studio, with Victoria Jackson in the mix as the channel’s small, scrambling team tries to keep the whole operation on the air.
