Radio Days

ComedyDrama90 min

Before television, young Joe grows up in Rockaway Beach, Queens, where his working-class family measures daily life by the voices coming through the radio. Seth Green is Joe in a memory-driven story that moves through late-1930s New York to New Year’s Eve 1944, folding family routines, neighborhood life, and wartime unease into anecdotes about singers, announcers, and the Manhattan world behind the microphone. Written and directed by Woody Allen, the film threads Joe’s coming-of-age through the rumors, mishaps, and urban legends surrounding radio fame. Mia Farrow and Dianne Wiest are part of the large ensemble that fills both the family circle and the broadcast fantasy surrounding it.
