CrimeDramaRomanceThriller125 minWatch trailer
Sean Penn is Bobby Cooper, a small-time gambler whose car breaks down in Superior, Arizona while Vegas bookies close in. Stranded with a backpack full of cash, Bobby gets pulled into the town’s crooked economy and into the orbit of Jennifer Lopez’s Grace, who wants out of her marriage to the dangerous Jake (Nick Nolte). What begins as a repair stop turns into a shifting bargain of debts, seduction, and murder-for-hire, with every mechanic, cop, and local hustler looking like another trap. Oliver Stone directs the desert noir with a sun-blasted, off-kilter streak.
