Hamburger Hill
ActionAdventureDocumentaryDramaThrillerWar112 min
Vietnam, 1969: Bravo Company is sent up Hill 937, a jungle position near the Laotian border that earns the name Hamburger Hill for the way it chews through soldiers. The film follows the men through repeated assaults on the mud-covered slope, with casualties mounting as they fight for the hill and for one another. Michael Boatman and Don Cheadle are among the young infantrymen in the unit, with Dylan McDermott and Courtney B. Vance also part of the ensemble. Focused on one of the Vietnam War’s fiercest battles, it keeps close to the confusion, exhaustion, and violence on the ground.
