At New York’s Odyssey Detective Agency, two suspected-infidelity cases start to blur when the men doing the tailing get drawn to the women they’re watching. Ben Gazzara is John Russo, a ladies’ man hired to follow Audrey Hepburn’s Angela Niotes, the elegant wife of a wealthy Italian industrialist. At the same time, two fellow investigators shadow Dolores Martin for her jealous husband, and what begins as routine surveillance turns into a more personal tangle of pursuit, attraction, and crossed-up loyalties around the city.
