A stolen yellow Mini turns a casual road trip into a chase from one end of New Zealand to the other. Gerry slips out of trouble in Auckland with a plan to head south, but the ride picks up two more passengers: a drifter with nowhere else to be and a woman who jumps aboard as the chaos grows. What starts as a lark keeps snowballing into roadblocks, smashed property, and police attention that gets harder to shake with every town they pass through. As the trio barrels down the country, the film follows the mess they leave behind and the unlikely bond that forms inside a car that is barely holding together.
