Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood
ComedyCrime89 min
Ashtray heads to South Central L.A. to live with a father who looks about his age and a grandmother who talks tough and smokes reefer, then gets pulled into the orbit of his volatile cousin Loc Dog. Shawn Wayans is the straight-arrow Ashtray, while Marlon Wayans’s Loc Dog treats every confrontation like an arms race, carrying pistols, an Uzi, and even a thermonuclear warhead for self-defense. Built as a parody of 1990s hood films, the movie follows Ashtray through neighborhood rivalries, slang-heavy conversations, and escalating street-corner chaos as he tries not to abandon the straight life.
