Boyz n the Hood
CrimeDrama112 min
Sent to live with his father in South Central Los Angeles, Tre Styles grows up caught between the rules at home and the violence, drugs, and street rivalries around him. Cuba Gooding Jr. is Tre, a teenager trying to imagine a future beyond his block, while Laurence Fishburne’s Furious raises him with a firm sense of discipline and self-respect. As Tre reconnects with childhood friends Doughboy and Ricky, each of them responds differently to the pressure of the neighborhood, where gang conflict and police tension are part of everyday life. John Singleton keeps the story grounded in family, friendship, and the hard choices facing young men in early-1990s South Central.
