Rocco and His Brothers

CrimeDramaRomance179 min

A family from southern Italy arrives in 1960 Milan hoping the industrial north will give them work and a future. Instead, the city pulls the brothers in different directions as they struggle to fit into a harder, faster world. Rocco, played by Alain Delon, tries to hold the family together with patience and sacrifice, but ambition, poverty, and wounded pride keep driving them apart. A relationship with a young woman deepens the rivalry between two brothers and turns private resentments into open damage. What begins as a move for survival becomes a painful unraveling, as each member is forced to choose between loyalty to the family and a life of their own.
