Nights of Cabiria

Drama110 min

After her boyfriend robs her and leaves her to drown, Cabiria returns to the streets of Rome still trying to build a life. Giulietta Masina is Cabiria, a sex worker moving through the city’s margins with optimism that survives even repeated heartbreak, holding onto the hope that love and security might finally last. Federico Fellini follows her through rented rooms, shrines, and railway stations as one setback gives way to the next and each new connection seems to open a different future. François Périer and Franca Marzi are among the figures who move through Cabiria’s unstable orbit.
