After a radio host is murdered in Chicago, an FBI agent goes undercover to trace the white supremacist network behind the killing. Her search leads her into rural America, where she poses as a farm worker and grows close to a widowed farmer whose quiet life hides ties to a violent movement. As trust turns into intimacy, the case stops being abstract: bombings, robberies, and extremist politics point to a larger campaign taking shape around her. Debra Winger and Tom Berenger anchor a story in which the agent must keep her cover, gather evidence, and decide what to do when the man she is investigating becomes central to her life.
