El Norte
ActionAdventureDrama141 min
Brother and sister Enrique and Rosa flee persecution in Guatemala and travel north through Mexico toward the United States, hoping to build a safer life. The film follows the siblings through border crossings, cramped stops along the way, and the unstable reality waiting on the other side, where finding work and a place to live can be as uncertain as the journey itself. David Villalpando and Zaide Silvia Gutiérrez carry the story at the center, with Ernesto Gómez Cruz among the supporting cast, as Gregory Nava keeps the focus on family, displacement, and the risks that shadow each step north.
