Rose Island
ActionAdventureComedyDramaFamily120 min
In 1968, engineer Giorgio Rosa decides the rules on land no longer apply to him and builds a platform off the coast of Rimini, then declares it the independent nation of Rose Island. Elio Germano is Rosa, whose private experiment turns into a tiny state with its own flag, tourists, and Esperanto as an official language. As curious visitors arrive and the project starts looking less like a stunt than a loophole, the Italian authorities move in. Matilda De Angelis and Leonardo Lidi are among the people caught up in Rosa’s improbable republic.
