After his wife is killed in a train crash, recently deployed soldier Markus heads home to care for his teenage daughter, Mathilde. Mads Mikkelsen’s Markus is barely back when a survivor of the wreck claims the disaster was no accident. What begins as grief turns into suspicion, and then a hunt for the people he believes were responsible. Andrea Heick Gadeberg is Mathilde, caught in the aftermath as her father’s search for answers pulls their home life further off balance. The film threads revenge, loss, and offbeat humor through a story that starts with a family tragedy and spirals into violent payback.
